Disneyland Hotel

Disneyland Resort short-walk deluxe

This is the original — the hotel that opened alongside Disneyland in 1955, rebuilt since but still carrying that history in its bones. Three towers (Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier) each lean into a different park land, and the pool complex is a highlight in its own right, with two monorail-themed waterslides that keep kids occupied for hours. It’s an easy, flat walk to Downtown Disney and both parks, so you’re never managing a shuttle or a long trek back for an afternoon nap.

We point families here when they want that classic, storied Disneyland stay without stepping up to Grand Californian pricing. Rooms are comfortable rather than lavish, but the theming, the pool, and the walk-everywhere location do a lot of the work.
